Memorial Services
An alternative to the tribute service being held at the crematorium or cemetery is a memorial service. This can be arranged immediately before (with the body present) or after the official cremation/burial or on another day completely. The memorial service can be conducted at a venue of your choice.
I am able to offer my professional service to work with you to prepare a service which is individually written and designed to celebrate the life of the person who has died in a dignified and sensitive manner. This will be similar to the preparation I would make for the service if it were to be held at the crematorium or burial ground. With a memorial service, however, there would be an opportunity to make use of space, music, readings, poetry, silence without the constraints of time. It also more easily allows for participation.
A memorial service can be a fitting way to ensure that the person's life is truly celebrated and remembered.
The tribute will focus on everything that has made this person special and unique. I will therefore spend time with you in order to create a memorial is positive and uplifting. Working together my intention is for you to find great comfort in providing a memorial that meets the deceased's wishes and truly reflects their life. You will also receive a written copy of the memorial service
If the memorial service is to be held immediately before the funeral, with the body present, or after a short funeral service we will need to discuss this with your funeral director as it will form part of their organisation of the funeral.
