Interment and Scattering of Ashes
You may wish to consider a short formal ceremony for the scattering or interment of ashes. There are a number of ways in which I can help you make this dignified, meaningful and memorable.
There a number of considerations you will need to make such as where and how you will wish to scatter the ashes.
Methods and Locations:
Casting Ashes - is the act of tossing the ashes into the wind.
Burying Ashes - is the act of burying the ashes in a shallow trench
Ringing Ashes - is the act of forming a ring around an object
Raking Ashes - is the act of pouring the ashes on the ground and raking them into the earth
Woodland Site - is the act of burying the ashes in an approved woodland burial site
At sea - is the act of scattering the ashes over water.
It is important to note that there are some restrictions as to where ashes can be scattered but, allowing for these, you can generally scatter the ashes in a place meaningful to both you and your loved one.
I can help you plan how you wish to make the scattering of the ashes meaningful. We will spend some time together planning this time, ensuring that the method and location are appropriate. I will then attend your chosen venue and faciliate the offering of words, symbolic gestures, silence or whatever forms of expression are appropriate
This service is provided at a small fee plus mileage expenses.
